Birds of prey have always been among the most fascinating creatures and are found all over the world. The majestic hunters of the skies impress with incredibly keen eyesight and sophisticated hunting techniques. Their elegance and power is unique. Since his childhood Ingo Maas has been fascinated by these bird species and they were the subject of his first drawings. Today Sascha and Ingo Maas watch them
in the wild and are members of the “Österreichischer Falknerbund“ (Austrian Falconry Association), where they maintain a lively exchange with the falconers thus constantly expanding their knowledge of these animals. Both artists study the plumage, the shape and the majestic appearance of these birds and then capture them in large-format drawings in a virtuoso manner.
